The TPK30KP series is a family of high energy, high power Transient Voltage Suppressors(TVS) suitable for use as protection products in the most demanding environments and applications such as primary lightning protection and inductive load switching. The devices have an extremely high peak power rating of 30kW (10x1000μs) and a very low idle current (<10μA) for energy efficiency. The devices are available in both unidirectional and bidirectional versions with working voltage ratings of 20 to 400V. Compared to MOVs, the TPK30KP series has no inherent “wear-out” mechanism and almost immediate response time (<100ps). The TPK30KP devices are packaged in a low profile (3mm nom.) surface mount package.
